BestDock

Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

The short version

The BestDock app has no telemetry and no analytics. This website has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies. We only keep the data needed to sell you a license and to give it back to you if you lose it.

The app

BestDock runs locally on your Mac. Its settings live in a file in your user folder, and credentials for integrations are stored in the macOS Keychain. Your license key is checked on your Mac against a public key built into the app; no activation server is contacted. The app may check for updates by downloading an update feed from this website.

What we store when you buy

  • Your email address and name, as entered at checkout.
  • Your license key and the Stripe checkout session id it belongs to, plus the issue date.

This is kept in a Cloudflare KV database. We use it to show you your key after payment, to email it, and to re-send it when you ask on the recovery page. We keep it for as long as your license exists, so you can recover it later.

Who handles your data

  • Stripe processes the payment. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that data.
  • Resend delivers the license email, so it sees your email address and the message.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the license service, so it processes request data such as IP addresses as part of normal hosting and security.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you by writing to support@bestdock.app from the purchase email. Deleting a record means we can no longer re-send your key, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep for payment records.
